Eliza’s Footy Boots Handover Ceremony

Last week we saw the culmination of Eliza Fitzgerald’s work in collecting footy books for indigenous communities in Queensland.

Eliza presented over 120 footy boots in a handover ceremony to the Inala Panthers NRL Club at the Inala Indigenous Health Care Clinic in Brisbane.

Thanks goes to everyone for their generous support and encouragement of Eliza to collect her more than 120 pairs of footy boots.

Highlights of our 2014 season

If you need any convincing as to the fun and enjoyment the children experience playing AFL, take a look at a video of our 2014 season.

Produced by our dedicated media team of Eliza and Sara Fitzgerald, it shows some of the wonderful moments of our season for both our Auskick and junior competition teams.

We had 65 children playing Auskick and 3 junior teams playing in the AFL Greater Sydney Junior league.

Please be advised that the video is large (at 300MB) and could take some time to download. Otherwise it can be watched while streamed live.

2014 Soiree

2014 Soiree

Don’t forget we have our annual Soiree this Saturday night at the Longueville Hotel (UnderBar). This is our major fundraiser for the year so we would appreciate as many supporters as possible to turn up.

Bookings can be made online via or by cash on the night.

We have some great auction items this year, including a Sydney Swans jumper signed by Lance “Buddy” Franklin and some tickets to a Katy Perry concert.

But even move hotly contested at last year’s event was the signed jumper by our junior team. This year we have three great framed jumpers signed by the two U9 and the U10 team.

For all your Rugby fans (we are based in Sydney!), we will have the Bledisoe Cup on the big screen so there is no excuse to miss this great event.

Come one, come all.
